Mother’s Day Walk – Roots & Shoots & Wildflowers

Due to Covid19 gathering restrictions, this event has been restructured to an online format

Back-up Plan: roughly 1.5 hrs

RSVP to get the link to join the event. If you can not make the live event, you will be sent a recording afterwards.

This event has been re-imagined as a collaboration between Nature Guelph, Yorklands Green Hub and the 2Rivers Festival. Learn the mission of the Yorklands Green Hub and find some links to learn more about this project.

Trees are budding and blossoms are filling the trails! Join Nature Guelph Vice President Judy Brisson as she takes you on a virtual walk along the Starkey Loop to view spring's colourful bounty via a live online Zoom presentation. We will learn about Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Bloodroot and Squirrel Corn - all wildflowers with curious names - and more!

Nature Guelph is an active club connecting people with nature in the Guelph area. We host monthly meetings with exciting guest speakers, regular outdoor events, and field trips in the Guelph area and beyond. We have a special interest group for wildflower-lovers, a Young Naturalists program for kids 6-10 and an EcoLeaders program for high school students. This event is free, but donations are always appreciated (suggested donation of $5 for non-members). If you enjoy our events and programs, we hope you will consider buying an annual membership. http://www.natureguelph.ca/membership/

Yorklands Green Hub aims to create for Ontario’s public domain a self-sustaining education, demonstration, and research hub at the former Ontario Reformatory site in Guelph, Ontario.

Yorklands Green Hub will bring together businesses, organizations, and people of all ages and interests – to learn, work, share and innovate, with the common purpose of being engaged stewards of our land, food, water, cultural heritage and our overall wellbeing. http://yorklandsgreenhub.ca/
