CANCELLED - Bringing Nature Home: Habitat Restoration

Event cancelled due to the Stay-at-Home Order

Bring nature home through planting native flowers, shrubs and trees

Declan_and_Zander_seed_collecting.JPGRebuild homes for a wide variety of pollinators and birds right in the City of Guelph by planting native groundcover, shrubs, and trees along the river corridor.

Bring children along, name the plants you put in the ground together and watch them grow over time!

Enjoy a very special naturalized park right by the river while you learn how to create your own butterfly and bird paradise with native plants on your own property.

There will even be a draw to win some plants to bring home with you!

COVID-19 protocols will be in place. There will be a registration desk where we ask that you give us your name and phone number for contact tracing. Planting locations and materials will be spread out in different sections. We ask all volunteers to please wear a mask at all times and bring their own shovel and gloves where possible, as supplies will be limited.

Please click on the following web link to go to the signup sheet: volunteersignup.org/FKAQ8. To sign up, just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds to do.

Thank you for volunteering!
