Discover the sport of rowing
Rowing is a great way to get outside, enjoy beautiful Guelph Lake, meet new people and learn a new skill. You will learn the fundamentals on the rowing machines at the boathouse, and then you will practice rowing with an oar in the water. All participants will get into eighth man racing shells where you will receive on the water coaching from club coaches and volunteers.
No experience necessary. Open to adults 18 years of older. Participants should bring fitted athletic clothing and socks, water bootly for hydration, hat and sunscreen.
Note: only participants in the learn to row will be wiaived the parks entrance fee. Anyone else with them who do not have a Grand River Parks Membership will have to pay $7.00 for an adult day pass into Guelph Lake. GRCA Gate Fees
The park staff at the gate will direct you to the Guelph Rowing Club.
Once through the main gate, keep right, go through Gate 1, and keeping on the main road and keeping to the right will take you directly to the Guelph Rowing Club boathouse.
Registration is required to ensure all participants are covered by Rowing Canada's insurance.
